The Model’s The Pleasure of Your Company (Festival Records) positively sizzles. The band’s avant grade image is still intact, although this latest release makes some concessions to the commercial market. 

Its slickness is the result of the excellent work of young English producer Nick Launay, who contributed to the success of Midnight Oil’s 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 album. So it’s no wonder the first single from the album, I Hear Motion, with its strong catchy beat, innovative keyboards and suave vocals hit the national Top 10 charts.

Facing the North Pole in August is another sophisticated rock song, one that should come across well live.
